Also called MIT Spray or Magma String, a thermite-based compound mixed with a foam-adhesive that stays fastened to an object once sprayed onto it. Once the foam is ignited, it burns at stellar surface temperatures, melting and/or burning through whatever the foam is stuck to, making it a popular tool for entry into vehicles - difficult to break into traditionally, but with shells thin enough for the magma string to make short work of.

By necessity, magma string canisters that are taken into combat scenarios carry relatively little material for their size - so much armour needs to be dedicated to protect the compound from igniting under ballistics or plasma fire. As a consequence, military cannisters are designed to be refillable, while industrial versions are single-usage but with greater volume.
